It should be noted that initially, the judges and the audience of the 2022 competition, gave their preference and the award to Rennae Chapman. However, the girl got a good job offer and due to lack of time, she couldn’t participate in further preparatory activities, shows and castings for the Miss England competition. Hence, she was forced to relinquish her title in favour of Anita Saha, the one who got the highest number of votes after her.
Anita Saha’s Story: Education, Interests and Hobbies
Anita was born in London in 2001, but later, the family moved to Manchester. There, she finished school and entered the University of Manchester, from which she graduated with honours in 2022. She also obtained a master’s degree in medical research. From a young age, she was attracted to medicine and everything related to it. Therefore, she sought to realise herself in the field of medical research and development as well as to make medicine accessible to everyone.
Anita is a very versatile and goal-oriented girl. Since a young age, she has been interested not only in medicine but also in many other spheres of life. She has many hobbies, including

Style and fashion also occupy an important place among Anita’s hobbies. While studying at the university, she got involved in modelling business. Previously, she held the position of President of the Fashion Society at the University of Manchester. Thanks to her initiative and sensitive leadership, Manchester held charitable fashion shows more than once. The collected funds were sent to help Ukrainians affected by Russian aggression. Thus, Anita managed to raise more than £1,000 to help Ukraine.
The girl’s tragedy: the death of her parents
Underneath Anita’s success, beauty, charm, smile and charisma lies a great tragedy that befell her as a teenager. At the age of 14, the girl lost her mother. The cause was a heart attack. When the girl was 16 years old, death tried to take away her father. He survived a stroke but remained disabled. A great responsibility fell on the young girl’s shoulders. Anita became the only caretaker for her father. She helped him to perform everyday tasks, which would seem easy and ordinary to a healthy person, but which were beyond the power of her father. She attended school in the morning and went to dialysis in the evening, combining all of this with preparation for final exams. During that difficult period of her life, she had to give up all her interests and hobbies and devote most of her time to her bedridden father. Unfortunately, Anita’s father died before the final school exams. It was the most difficult period in the girl’s life. The future seemed bleak and the whole world just collapsed in one moment.
Her father instilled in her the value of education, science and knowledge from an early age. He has always been a role model and inspiration for Anita, so before the exams, she gathered all her strength and will into a fist and passed the final exams with flying colours.
The life experiences that Anita received as a teenager became an incredibly strong motivation for her pursuit of a medical career and becoming an outstanding doctor.
After graduating from the University of Manchester, Anita has been actively developing her medical career in the Research and Development field. The tragedy that happened to her at a young age helped her realise the value of life. Every day, she strives not only to enjoy her life but also to bring maximum benefit to Manchester’s society.
Participation in Miss Manchester 2022 was the realisation of a childhood dream
Anita dreamed of becoming a beauty queen from a young age, but she was constantly intimidated and rejected. In addition, the girl developed self-doubt, as she was often abused because of her skin colour and ethnicity. Therefore, Anita Saha buried her dream for many years.
For a long time, the girl tried to regain her self-confidence, and in 2022, she finally dared to take part in the Miss Manchester beauty competition.
In 2022, she was one of the top vote-getters in the competition, but unfortunately for her, the crown was awarded to Rennae Chapman. Subsequently, due to some reasons, Rennae gave up the title in favour of Anita Saha. Thus, the girl became the face of Manchester. She didn’t just win the contest and fulfil her dream but also received a lot of new opportunities.
